Overview

The Entity Management function in TaxLab allows administrator users to bulk update information for entities. 

Here you’re able to add payment groups and contacts for client entities to send out correspondence and tax payment information. You are also able to assign Partners, Managers and Consultants to entities to carry out Workflow tasks in TaxLab. 

Assign Payment group

  1. Go to Settings > Admin > Entity Management.
  2. Use the check box and select the appropriate entities.
  3. Click on the drop down box and Select Payment Group.
  4. Click on Assign group.

Assign Contact

  1. Go to Settings > Admin > Entity Management.
  2. Use the check box and select the appropriate entities.
  3. Click on the drop down box and Select Contact.
  4. Click on Assign contact.

Update details in bulk using Excel

This feature is only available to Administrators.

With the Excel Export and Import functions, you can:

  • Bulk add Payment Groups;
  • Bulk add Contacts; or
  • Bulk assign Payment Groups, Contacts, Partner, Manager, Consultant, Client List or Tax Agent.

Export Entities details to Excel

  1. Go to Settings > Admin > Entity Management.
  2. Filter the list to what is required. If no filter is applied, the full list will be exported.
  3. Select Excel Export.
  4. The Excel file will be automatically downloaded. Open the Excel file, update it and save the updated file. Please refer to notes below on the Excel file.

Notes on Excel export and import

  • Do not change the heading names or order in line 1.
  • You can add and assign new Payment group using the Excel file.
  • You can add and assign new Contact using the Excel file.
  • You cannot add new entity or tax number.
  • You can only assign existing Partner, Manager, Consultant, Client List or Tax Agent to an Entity.

Import Entity details from Excel

  1. Go to Settings > Admin > Entity Management.
  2. Click on Browse, locate and select the updated file and click Open.
