Overview
A password reset may be required due to a forgotten password or as a routine security measure to maintain account protection.
TaxLab uses a Microsoft authentication system, the reset process involves requesting a verification code via email, confirming the email address, and setting a new password through the TaxLab login page.
Important: If your organisation uses Single Sign-On (SSO) with Microsoft, your password cannot be reset through the TaxLab site. In this case, your Microsoft account password must be reset directly through the organisation's Microsoft login system.
Reset your password
- Navigate to the TaxLab login page.
- Select the Forgot your password? link.
- Enter your email address.
- Select Send verification code.
We use a Microsoft authentication system, so you will receive an email from microsoftonline.com that contains a verification code.
- Enter the verification code you receive via email and select Verify code.
- Confirm your email address and select Continue.
- Optional: If you have entered the wrong email address, select Change e-mail.
- Enter your 6 digit MFA code from your authentication app or set up multifactor authentication (MFA).
- Set a new password and select Continue.
Once you have set a new password you will be redirected back to the TaxLab login page, to login with your email address and new password.
