Reauthenticate an Inland Revenue connection

Overview

To ensure the smooth processing of your returns, we would highly recommend reauthenticating your Inland Revenue (IR) connection at least once a year. This can prevent your return from getting stuck in the Scheduled - Pending status, if this does happen reauthenticating your connection with IR is the first step to fix this. 

Please note: Reauthentication of the Inland Revenue Application Gateway connection can only be performed by the individual who originally set it up.

Reauthenticate your connection

  1. From the TaxLab Home page, click Settings > Connections > Inland Revenue.
  2. Select the Inland Revenue Application Gateway that requires reauthentication.
  3. Click the Settings cog located on the right of the connection.
  4. When you click Reauthenticate,  you will be redirected to myIR.
  5. When redirected to myIR, you will need to input the login credentials associated with your myIR account.
  6. Click Login.

After completing this step, you will be directed back to TaxLab. Your connection with IR will be successfully reauthenticated, allowing you to proceed with e-filing your returns.

Return's stuck in Scheduled - Pending

If you have returns that are stuck in a Scheduled - Pending status after reauthenticating your connection, you can either:

  • Ask an admin user to reset the e-file status of your return, then file the return as normal:
    1. To reset the e-file status, under Settings > Settings > Click the button 'Reset E-file status'.
  • If you have multiple returns in the Scheduled - Pending status, please reach out to our support team and we can process these again for you.
