Overview
With TaxLab’s Tax Traders integration you can have your client's Tax Traders transactions automatically imported into your entities in TaxLab. Only the user that set up the integration will be able to see it in TaxLab. We recommend only setting up one integration per Tax Traders account to prevent duplicate integrations to entities occurring.
We recommend that if your organisation runs a master Tax Traders account that has access to all entities, that you use this login to set up the integration to TaxLab.
Create a Tax Traders integration
- From the TaxLab home screen, in the navigation bar select Administration > Under System > select Integrations.
- Select New > select Tax Traders - Transaction feed
- You’ll then be redirected to Tax Traders. Enter your login details for your Tax Traders account.
- Review any terms and conditions or scopes.
- Select Allow access.
Once this has been done you’ll be redirected to the TaxLab home screen.
Link entities
After adding your Tax Traders account, establish links between entities for automated data import.
- From the TaxLab home screen, in the navigation bar select Administration > Under System > select Integrations.
- Select the relevant Tax Traders integration.
- Select the settings icon next to the Tax Traders client you want to link to an entity.
- Enter the corresponding TaxLab entity name and select it from the list.
- Select Save.
Activate or deactivate entities
By activating an entity, the data import function is enabled for that taxpayer. To disable the data import, deactivate the taxpayer.
- From the TaxLab home screen, in the navigation bar select Administration > Under System > select Integrations.
- Select the relevant Tax Traders account.
- Select the checkbox of the entity you want to modify.
- Select the appropriate option:
- To activate select the Activate button.
- To deactivate select the Deactivate button.
Reset your Tax Traders integration
- From the TaxLab home screen, in the navigation bar select Administration > Under System > select Integrations.
- Next to your Tax Traders integration, select the three vertical dots > select Remove.
From there you will need to follow the instructions to re-add your Tax Traders integration. Your entities will still be linked once the integration has been added again.
Troubleshooting
Tax payments screen quote not available
The Tax Traders quote service for terminal and provisional payment tasks works independently of the Tax Traders integration, so you do not need to set up a Tax Traders integration to receive these quotes.
If you see a Quote not available error message on the tax payments screen, check that a filing date has been entered for the previous period’s return. This is required to ensure the quote displays correctly.
