Print income tax payment notices

Overview

Once a tax payment has been reviewed and finalised a payment notice can be printed, either to PDF, or to the screen in a format that can be copy and pasted, while retaining all formatting. Notices can be printed for an individual entity or a group of entities.

Print a payment notice for a single entity

  1. From the TaxLab home screen, in the navigation bar select Workflow > Payments.
  2. Select the relevant due date.
  3. Select from
  4. This opens the payment tasks overview screen for that date, for the view selected.
  5. Select the check box beside the task to print, then select Print.
  6. Select from PDF Notice, or Copy and paste. Copy and paste will open a payment notice in a new tab, where the text can be selected and copied to clipboard, then pasted into another application, such as an email or a document, without losing any of the formatting.
  7. Select the Theme, Office and Type. Branding for your organisation is available as part of organisation setup, and can be used to set different themes within your organisation, and office themes with those. TaxLab default formatting is available for all users. The Type of notice will default to Inland Revenue, other options are Inland Revenue with detailed calculations, and Tax Traders.
  8. Select Print. The output will be either saved as a PDF in your downloads folder or, if Copy and paste was selected, shown on screen in a new tab.

Alternatively, selecting a task will open it in a new tab, and an individual notice can be printed from within the task by using the Print button.

Print a payment notice for a group of entities

  1. From the TaxLab home screen, in the navigation bar select Workflow > Payments.
  2. Select the relevant due date.
  3. Select the name of the group you wish to print a payment notice for.
  4. Select the checkbox beside the group.
  5. Select the Print button and choose one of the options: Batch, (prints each notice as a separate PDF and saves them in a zip folder), Group, (prints all entities selected onto one notice) Group with detailed calculations or Copy and paste.
  6. Select the Theme and Office. The only Type available for groups is Inland Revenue.
  7. Select Print. Notices will be saved to your downloads folder.

Alternatively, from the Not Grouped or All Payments views, multiple entities can be selected and printed, in the same manner as printing for a single entity above.

Troubleshooting

Entities need to be added to groups

Creating new groups is done through entity management, usually by an Administrator. Adding an entity to an existing group is available to all users. From the TaxLab home screen, in the navigation bar select Administration > Entity Management to access.
